Below are the words of Fr. Sousa posted on his father's blog, In God's Company Too. It was these words that prompted me to consider adopting him as my spiritual son. I already have a spiritual son, a priest in my own diocese, but the words of Fr. Sousa drew me to the call of praying for him daily...
Have you ever considered adopting a Priest in prayer. Ask Mary to assign me to you. Love me like a brother in Christ. Pray for me daily. Become a saint so that I may become one. Pray that Mary be a tender Mother to me and find me good friends in Christ. Thank you for your prayers. May the Lord bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you all the days of your life. May the Holy Spirit descend upon you and your family and all your loved ones.
Happy Father's Day, Fr. Sousa! God bless you abundantly!

It was so nice to get to know Fr. Sousa a little better. If he is anything like his dear Dad, he is a treasure!

Easter,
Thanks so much for posting this and thank you for all the prayers for our son Fr. Ed.
May the Lord bless you and your family and keep you all safe in his love.
Thank you Easter for this wonderful tribute to Fr. Sousa.
I have his picture next to my computer under a small statue of Mary....her protective mantle is covering him....also next to a small cross with Christ.
Hello dear Esther,
I agree. Good trees bear good fruits. I am honored to know them in the blogosphere.
Love to you,
Easter:-)
Hi Ed,
It is my honor really. God bless you too abundantly, Ed, for tirelessly encouraging us all to persevere in our faith and in reminding us to support our priests. It is comforting to know that though your son is already a priest, you still support him just as much. It really shows that the responsibility of parents never end. And what a joy that is.
In Christ,
Easter:-)
Hello dearest Micki,
What an inspiration you are! Thank you for sharing that with us here. It gives us all ideas and encouragement to continue supporting our priests. God bless you abundantly for all you do!
:-)
Much love,
Easter:-)
