A Tribute to All Our Priests

Always for Others
By Easter Almuena

You are the image and likeness of God
But with you the morning awakens
With the call to rise
Not for you
But always for others.

God handpicked you from a myriad of souls
Molded you since you were a babe
To prepare you for a journey
Not for you
But always for others.

God blessed you with wisdom
To use to give form to his plans
And love to carry them out
Not for you
But always for others.

Mary walks with you
Guiding and loving you
For to her you are a Christ
Not for you
But always for others.

You hold the Body of Christ
Embrace his name and proclaim it
And a father and counselor you have become
Not for you
But always for others.

God forever bless you
Walk and carry you when your feet are weary
Bring peace and joy to your heart
For though your life is never for you
It is Christ’s and he delights in you.

It was such a joy to start this blog! One early morning, the Lord woke me and had me pounding on the keys to write this poem for his most beloved priests. Such love He has for them that he wants us to take more notice of them, to encourage them, pray for them, love them!

Dear Sue,

I am honored you came to visit this blog. Thank you!

I will change my caption then that it may include all priests, God's most humble servants.

Much Aloha,

Dear Easter,
I have one suggestioas to how we can support our Priest.
You could suggest to the readers of your blogsite to pick a priest to pray for.
In other words to adopt that priest in prayer.
They really need our prayers and pray is so powerful.
God Bless,

Easter, looks like in all my excitement about your new blog, I forgot to post a comment :-)
Nice job on this new endeavor. I also like Ed's idea very much.
God bless,

Congratulations on your blog. I have a similar thing on my sidebar. Feel free to add the names of the priests, religious, and seminarians there to your list. God bless you

Hi Ed,
Thank you for taking the time to send me emails and for your suggestion also. I will be posting your sharing regarding your son, Fr. Sousa, Jr. It's a wonderful and powerful way to encourage parents who have the same experience you once had...
Thank you!

Hi dadwithnoisykids,
Yes, I saw the sidebar. Cool! I will add them to mine and visit you from time to time, especially if a priest needs extra prayers! Thank you for your visit!
